How long will my results last?

With cosmetic surgery, you are able to continue to enjoy a more youthful and in-shape appearance. However, surgery does not affect the ongoing aging process in the patient. This is largely dependent upon genetics. What cosmetic/plastic surgery does is turn back the clock to a more youthful you.

What kind of anesthesia is used?

The method of anesthesia used is based upon the patient's needs and surgeon's preference. At Dearborn Laser and Cosmetic Center, several types of local and general anesthesia are used in conjunction with the various procedures. These include a freezing liquid called Synercool, and triple anesthetic ointments.

What kind of hair can be removed by hair laser treatments?

Laser hair removal can remove unwanted hair from virtually any part of the body. Areas such as the face, armpits, legs, bikini line, and back are the most common.

How many treatments will I need?

It's best to think of a single treatment as more of a permanent reduction instead of a permanent removal. Therefore, patients should count on a series of treatments, usually an average three to six, to achieve the individual success they are looking for.

How soon are results seen?

This is entirely variable upon the procedure being performed. An average period of days to weeks is experienced for results to be seen by each of our procedures, with several procedure results even being immediate! Please check the individual procedure's page for more information on this.

Can laser light lead to skin cancer?

No, Laser light is non-ionizing and as such cannot damage DNA or even penetrate the body.
